What's up dog?
Finn came into our lives as an unexpected gift for my mum who had been pining for another dog specifically a boy. It had been a while since weve had a male dog but she was determined she wanted one. After hearing the news that a family members yorkie was expecting another litter my mum got excited and was sure there would be boys in this litter. Low and behold there were two wee boys born later on. We didnt actually think wed be getting one as we have a rescue who we love a lot and didnt actually see us having two dogs at the time. After bonding with the litter and watching them develop their own wee personalities mum decided which boy she liked the best. It was the wee boy with the ginger forehead. After some time the family member decided she would gift mum finn. Weeks later and we bought him home and its like he filled a wee hole we didnt know we had but he slotted right in. He was the tiniest little handful of a man and yet had so much attitude (attitude lives on to this day). Lucky for Finn we live with my grandmother who has one of his older sisters so he could be abit more comfortable as a small dog. Unlike his sister finn and one of the cats (clover) did not bond as well and he gets picked on still. Finn very quickly took a liking to our rescue and absolutely loves her to pieces. Finn has got the biggest heart (and ears) ever and loves everyone without an issue. Finn has bought many smiles and giggles into our lives as everybody loves his big fluffy ears and we always get told how big they are whether its people at bunnings while hes on an outing with us or just his groomers. Everytime you come home whether youve been out for minutes or the whole day he talks and yaps at you with excitement and Im sure tell you stories about his whole day. He is the biggest mummas boy also and sulks when mum isnt home. He loves to sleep in the bed and absolutely always has to be in between your legs. Finn is slowly on his way to becoming a therapy dog as we would love to share his light with others through cuddles and all that. This may be a long time coming yet but it is definitely a big goal for us. I cant imagine how rewarding it would be for us and finn to cheer people up when they are at their lowest and just in general.
